“En vinter lang” er malet med olie på lærred i 2003. Værket er sidste billede i det store triptykon “Det tabte land”, som også betegnes som Poul Anker Bechs hovedværk.
The work is owned by Randers Art Museum, sammen med “I drift” og “Sommernat”. Værkerne er beskrevet flere steder – feks. i bogen “Det tabte land” af Finn Terman Frederiksen og i en review in Kristeligt Dagblad about the exhibition “The Lost Land” at the Randers Art Museum in 2011.
